Disney World Monorail stops & how to find your way on the Monorail

Monorail systemThe Disney World monorail system is just under 15 miles long and travels on closed loops around the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and select resorts via 3 separate lines. The only resorts that the monorail services are the Contemporary, Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian.

Express Line – Direct transportation from the Transportation & Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom and vice versa.

Resort Line – Round-trip transportation, making stops from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort, the Transportation & Ticket Center, the Polynesian Resort, and the Grand Floridian Resort.

Epcot Line – Direct transportation from the Transportation & Ticket Center to Epcot and vice versa.

Scenarios:

  • To travel to the Magic Kingdom from your resort, you’ll board the Resort Line at your resort and it’ll take you right to the Magic Kingdom. Vice versa for returning back to your resort from the Magic Kingdom.
  • To travel to Epcot from your resort, you’ll board the Resort Line at your resort, transfer trains at the Transportation & Ticket Center, and board the Epcot Line. Do this in reverse order to return to your hotel from Epcot.
  • To travel between Epcot and Magic Kingdom on the Monorail, you’ll be transferring trains at the Transportation & Ticket Center.
  • If you are staying off property, you may still use the monorail. Find your way to the Transportation & Ticket Center and board there to reach your destination.

The monorail is free for all Disney World guests, regardless of where you are staying!
